The position is for a Geophysicist with emphases in Seismology or specialized in seismic methods.

Summary

The professor is responsible for teaching courses of Geophysics; specially in the areas of seismic prospection and applications to hydrocarbon exploration. 

Essential Job Functions

Classes in the Course of Geophysics;
orientation of graduation students;
research in areas related to seismology.


Skills and Knowledge

ability in programming language;
knowledge in handling seismic processing software (Seismic Unix, Promax)

Education and experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
          MSc. in Geophysics

I encourage Geophysicist with Doctorate degree (PhD) to apply. The option to access the upper  level in professor career is automatic.
